We are honored to represent the JDRF as this year’s Ambassador Family.  Sean has lived with Type 1 diabetes for almost 25 years.  Our daughter, Jessica, was diagnosed when she was seven, and the month of this year’s walk, she will have been a proud T1D for 4 years.  Despite the daily challenges of living with Type 1 diabetes, diabetes has been our family’s greatest strength.  It has led to amazing opportunities and introduced us to many wonderful people and organizations.  It has never stopped us, and Sean is a shining example of this.  He has visited desolate parts of the world, and managed diabetes successfully through college, medical school, residency, and all of his career as a Family Physician.  Jessica is following in his footsteps and lives her life like any other thriving eleven year old.  Tamara, Sean, Courtney, and Jessica have loved participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and have earned Silver Team, as well as The Golden Sneaker Award. Jessica and Courtney led their elementary school two years in a row in the Dance For Diabetes.  They are dedicated to helping the JDRF find a cure.
