Superheroes of T1D – A.J. and Ella Baker

Every day 80 people are diagnosed with T1D, a chronic and sometimes debilitating auto immune disease for which there is currently no cure.
Brother and sister, A.J. and Ella, of York, PA both have type 1 diabetes. While they must constantly manage their diabetes, they do not let it stop them from being kids!
JDRF is funding research ($110 million last year) so that children like AJ and Ella can live a life free of T1D. To learn more about JDRF and it's mission go to www.jdrf.org.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Every few days during the month, we will be bringing you the Superheroes of T1D.  All photos are of children and adults with type 1 diabetes, living in Central Pennsylvania.
