Superheroes of T1D – Lauren Savidge

Lauren, age 4, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 2. Every day she must endure 4-6 finger pricks to check her blood sugar and just as many insulin shots to keep her alive. But don’t be fooled. Nothing holds little this little superhero back from living her life to the fullest.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Every few days during the month, we will be bringing you the Superheroes of T1D.  All photos are of children and adults with type 1 diabetes, living in Central Pennsylvania.
