Our Walkers are thinking of the most creative ways to fundraise for their teams!  Here are some of the unique ideas we’ve seen in the last few weeks!

Tailgate for the Cure:

Team JoeNation of Pittsburgh wants you to tailgate with them! On Saturday, September 9^th, the team will be hanging out at Gators Grille in Glenshaw from noon to 4pm. Watch the Steelers play on the outdoor screens with food, drinks, raffles, and more! A percentage of all alcohol sales will go towards 11-year-old Joe’s walk team. They hope to see you there!

O’Leary Family Spaghetti Dinner:

Last week on August 25^th, Aidan’s Advocates got together and held a Spaghetti Dinner. Proceeds went toward Aidan’s walk team for the Pittsburgh One Walk! This successful event, held at the Bible Chapel in Robinson raised over $4,500 for his team! Go Aidan!

Senior Project Success:

Evan Larrick, of Freedom Area Senior High, based his senior year project on JDRF. Inspired by his little brother, who has T1D, Evan and his family organized a car cruise. The family was able to raise $1,806—and we’re sure Evan got an A on his project! They even presented a check to our office! How cool!
